MY STORY
My first contact with Internet Marketing and Web Analytics related topics took place between 1997 and 2001 while working a web based company. Analyzing click-stream data, running online surveys and market research initiatives, integrating different sources of information and crunching numbers with the tools available in those days was an interesting learning experience.
Afterwards I worked as a web developer, database administrator on critical OLTP and DW environments, business system analyst, project manager and solutions architect for different organizations, most of the time dealing with Internet related projects.
All this experience, together with my academic background in Computer Systems Engineering, were definitely a solid foundation that enabled a natural transition to the Web Analytics field. A foundation on which I will continue building, investing and developing (Member of the WAA Research Committee, Enrolled at UCI Web Intelligence program).
At the moment I work as a Sr. Web Analyst & Test Strategist at Walt Disney Internet Group. (Toronto, ON)
This is my take on Web Analytics and other related disciplines I am passionate about.
